How to find your steamID

A guide to find your steamID:

There are three diffrent ways;

1.This is the easiest one.

While in-game open the console using the ~ key (or the ² key for azerty keyboards) and type status in the console.

Then you should see someting like this:

# 233 "player 1" STEAM_0:0:18455548 02:42 152 0 active
# 234 "player 2" STEAM_0:1:978568865 02:42 152 0 active
# 235 "player 3" STEAM_0:0:888888 02:42 152 0 active
# 236 "your name" STEAM_0:1:13977499 02:42 152 0 active
# 237 "player 4" STEAM_0:0:151451 02:42 152 0 active

Then copy the steam id after your name, that's ie: STEAM_0:1:13977499

2.For the "special" keyboards like NL/BE azerty.

Open steam and go to the games tab, then right click on CSS and click properties then click on the button set launch options...
Then you see a box were you can type some text, and type there -console
This makes the console start up automatically everytime you launch CSS, then click ok and start CSS and type status in the console.

Then you should see someting like this:

# 235 "player 3" STEAM_0:0:888888 02:42 152 0 active

Then copy the steam id after your name, that's ie: STEAM_0:1:13977499

3.Most difficult one but good if other ways don't work.

Locate your steam directory on your hard drive, usually C:\Program Files\Steam, find the steam.log file and open it with notepad.

Look for lines such as:
CsComm ConnectionPool Jun-24-2009 12:49:10.478 [3648] Found existing connection 2,87.148.126.124:27030 for 0:1:13977499.

The last numbers form your Steam ID, ie: 0:1:13977499. Now only add the STEAM_ prefix ie: STEAM_0:1:13977499 and you are ready.
